☕ #40: On display
Because we gotta share our wares.
This issue is sponsored by the 3 Week Podcasting To Connect on YouTube Jumpstarter.
The momentum of the webinar last week was contagious, so I activated all the notes I’ve been taking for ages now and created this challenge.
When you’re done drooling over the idea of this new social media space for your podcast (how I view YouTube for podcasting), hit REPLY and ask “Can I have a discount?” and I’ll send you a special newsletter reader link. But there’s only 8 spots available so ruuuuuuuuuuun.
Dear Podcast Connector,
I’ve got 2 things for your today.
I’ve heard through the grapevine that Spotify has a comment section where podcasters can ask questions to their audience. Is this true?
I’m annoyingly locked out of Spotify right now (this happens every time I switch countries) so can’t check myself.
Anyone willing and able to take a peak and send a screenshot of what you see? Better yet, ask your audience a question, send that screenshot and a link and I’ll link to your podcast while sharing this exciting (I think) news at the same time. Fingers crossed this is real.
The vulnerability loop mentioned in this episode is amazing. It starts about 19 minutes into the episode (but of course I love this podcast so I recommend listening to the entire episode if you can.)
I’m slowing the newsletter back to once a week. It’s been fun to play with different types of content but I think it was a bit too much.
As for me personally, I’ve decided that my first YouTube channel needs to be repurposed as a podcast, ironic as that may be I never thought of doing this before. There are hundreds of videos so this is going to take awhile. It’s a language learning diary of sorts. The idea struck me because I’m now starting to learn Danish and I want to upload to the channel again. Creativity doesn’t ask us when it wants to turn on, does it? Wish me sanity!
See you next Tuesday,
